I am a new client and I’m not sure what services I require, what shall I book?
We invite you to book a free consultation with one of our expert stylists to talk through your ideas. Bring along some photos and they will take everything from lifestyle, preferences, complexation, eye colour and clothing when recommending services personalised to perfection just for you.
Do I need a skin test?
The health and safety of our clients is our upmost priority, therefore there may be several instances where a skin test is required. If you have never had your hair coloured with us before, if you have not had it coloured with us for more than 6 months, or if you have coloured it either yourself or elsewhere since your last appointment, you will need to book into the salon for a consultation which will include a skin test at least 48 hours before your colour appointment. Allergic reactions are more common than you think so we never put our clients at risk.
What is the difference between the levels of stylist?
At Ginger we have 4 levels of stylist: Junior stylist, Stylist, Director and Owner. Liv is our Junior Stylist and has been working with Charlotte for 12 months undergoing an internal training programme. Lorna is our Stylist and has recently qualified from college in hairdressing. Nate is our director, he has 12 years experience in the industry within several settings. Charlotte is our Owner with 13 years experience.
There may be some stylists that are more suited to some services than others. Please keep in mind that due to being newly qualifies, some services are not available to book in with more junior stylists. We would recommend more advanced services being booked in with more senior stylists.
Why do I need an OLAPLEX treatment?
OLAPLEX is like a gym routine for your hair, the more you use it, the stronger, healthier and shiner it will be. OLAPLEX repairs each hair strand as a whole, from root to tip, bonds that have been broken down by colour, chemical straighteners and blow drying.
We always recommend adding on an OLAPLEX treatment to your colour as this prevents damage and continues to rebuild and restore broken bonds, ensuring the strongest, shiniest and healthiest hair possible. We also stock OLAPLEX shampoo, conditioner and smoother for you to continue to maintain your healthy hair at home between appointments. Healthy hair is beautiful hair!
Could my desired colour take more than one appointment?
Yes, depending on what colour you are trying to achieve and the current colour or condition of your hair, it may take anything from 1 – 5 appointments to achieve your desired colour. This will all be explained in your consultation with one of our stylists so that you know what to expect.
